Orange County Math Circle will host the AMC 10 and AMC 12 for all eligible students (10th grade and below for the AMC 10 and 12th grade and below for the AMC 12).

  • Protractors or Rulers (optional) 
  • Number 2 Pencils and Erasers
  • No calculators or cell phones permitted

*Please do not bring scratch paper. We will provide it.

Registration for the 2017 AMC 10/12 is closed.

Please make sure that students are not taking the 2017 AMC 10/12 at multiple locations on the same day. If a student is found to have taken the same AMC 10/12 test more than once on the same day, that student will be disqualified by the Mathematical Association of America (MAA). 

Only scratch paper, rulers, protractors, #2 pencils, and erasers are allowed as aids. No calculators, food or cell phones will be allowed. Students may bring water to drink. All scratch paper will be provided. Please do not bring your own. 

Parents and students may not contact MAA, Irvine Chinese School, or other organizations and individuals for questions. Please allow up to 4 weeks for MAA to process the score reports. We will email all participants their results once we receive the score reports from MAA.

Cancellation and No Show Policy 

Each time a students misses the exam without providing prior notice, another students loses the opportunity to take the AMC 8. Therefore, if you know that you will not be able to attend, please let us know as soon as possible and no later than 24 hours prior to the even so that we can take your name off the registration list and provide a spot to someone on the waitlist. No Shows will be restricted from registering for future events. There will be no refunds for cancellations. 

  • A Certificate of Distinction is given to all students who qualify to take the American Invitational Mathematics Examination.
  • An AMC 10 and AMC 12 Winner Pin is given to the student(s) in each school with the highest score.
  • The top three students for each school section will receive respectively a gold, silver, or bronze Certificate for Outstanding Achievement.
  • An AMC 10 and AMC 12 Honor Roll of Distinction Pin is given to the top 1% of all participating students.
  • An AMC 12 Certificate of Achievement is given to high scoring students who are in 10th grade or below.
  • An AMC 10 Certificate of Achievement is given to high scoring students who are in 8th grade or below.
