OCMC Introduces new Guest Lecture Series

Guest Lecture Series are lecture events that focus on  their experience with math and science and what they did to be successful in that particular area. Each lecture will include two speakers, a break in between, and an optional discussion period following the event. This event is not meant to teach a specific topic of study but is designed to explore Math and Science as a whole through the perspectives of the speakers.


Our Mission:

The Lectures are designed to create a positive learning environment for students of all age groups. We strive to provide the most effective and motivated lectures by professors and highly achieved students. We hope that these events will not only motivate students but also expand their perspectives in Math and Science.


Event Schedule:

This will be a monthly event that takes place during a Sunday afternoon from October to May, The first lecture will be in April, 2017,  and the second one will be in May, 2017


The specific date will be announced a day or two after the previous event end.


Why to Attend:

  • You will gain valuable lessons regarding Science and Math.

  • You will hear from famous professors, successful high school students, and experienced college students.

  • You will be able to interact with the professors and ask questions during the discussion period.

  • You will gain motivation by listening to the lectures.


Who should Attend:

  • Interested and motivated students who enjoy learning about about Science and Math.

  • 3rd grade-12th grade students
