Professor Po-Shen Loh Guest Lecture

Renowned Carnegie Mellon University math professor and national USA IMO team coach, Po-Shen Loh, will be conducting a presentation on behalf of Math for Service!

Title: Decimals
Abstract: What can we learn from decimals? Surprise: a lot! We'll go on a tour from fractions to the golden ratio, with pine cones and snail shells along the way.
Audience: This talk will be accessible to anyone with a background in Algebra, while still offering something new to everyone. This includes high school students, enthusiastic middle school students, as well as highly advanced or precocious elementary school students.
