On September 2, 2010, Orange County Math Circle was awarded a Math Circle Mini-Grant in the amount of $2,000 from Mathematical Sciences Research Institute (MSRI) for the 2010 - 2011 School Year. The grant will be used to expand our program offerings to include lectures, math tournaments, and math circle programs for under-served students. We are very honored and grateful to MSRI for their support and generosity.

MSRI is dedicated to the advancement and communication of fundamental knowledge in mathematics and the mathematical sciences, to the development of human capital for the growth and use of such knowledge, and to the cultivation in the larger society of awareness and appreciation of the beauty, power and importance of mathematical ideas and ways of understanding the world. Other math circles sponsored by MSRI include The Berkeley Math Circle, The Main Math Circle, The Oakland/East Bay Math Circle, The San Francisco Math Circle, The San Jose Math Circle, and The Stanford Math Circle. We are privileged to join this national list of established math circles.
